Adventures in Hotlinking

So I had the photo altered and uploaded with the same file name. The new Hawaii photo looked like this (go ahead, click to enlarge):

User comment: "Thanks for making most other bands sound like pussies." Yeah!
Page views for this band jumped up by 21% in just under two hours. They should’ve thanked me, but instead, they panicked and deleted their profile. What I would’ve given to be there when they logged in (“Dude, we’ve been hacked!”).
Sky Valley, we hardly knew ye.

Another popular hotlinked photo on my site is one of Brian Jonestown Massacre singer Anton Newcombe. For more than a year, I’ve tolerated the many MySpace morons who don’t know how to save a photo onto their own computer; I decided it was time to give all of these people a new “Hero” and “Who[m] I’d like to meet.” Here's just a small sample:
From Anton...

To date, only one person has noticed the change and removed the picture.

This is awesome!!! ;-)
I had hotlinked a pic from your site of Anton Newcombe to my myspace (www.myspace.com/aaronbowls). I noticed you changed it when someone pointed it out to me. I thought about changing it, but then realized it would be so much better to have the picture of Adolf in my heroes section as opposed to Anton. I mean they are basically the same anyway.
Thanks!
So aaron, that means you're still hotlinking the image even thought it's adolf now?
Did you learn anything?

Actually, the band Kyuss has been broken up for like eleven years now. So, the actual band really doesn't care.
